With a new leader at the helm, one thing is for certain: Worship Center will continue its mission to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus and help them find their purpose in Him. The transfer of leadership took place during two special services June 11 as Pastor Sam, the Leadership Team, representatives from the Board of Directors, and others installed Matt and Kelly Mylin as the new lead pastor couple of Worship Center.
Some of the services the outreach ministry provides are nursing. Rhema takes the church beyond the four walls, seeking out the hurt, broken, lost and shut-in, to empower them with hope, joy and direction. Their hearts have built a firm foundation of commitment to God's Word, faith in God's purpose for our lives, a value of growing together in authentic community, and a mandate to reach the world for Jesus. Rhema Healing and Deliverance Missionary, Inc, a partner affiliate of PCSC, is a church reaching out, from the pews out into the community.

Every few years, the Rhema USA campus comes alive with students and graduates from around the globe. That year marked another milestone for us, as our founding pastor, Sam Smucker, and his wife completed their 40-year tenure as our lead pastor couple. We also are thanking Him for the faithfulness of the thousands who have invested countless hours of service dedicated to those God has called us to reach. We honor and recognize with humility God's faithfulness to continue His work in and through us. What began in 1977 as a small gathering has grown to over 4,000. And strong societies build a strong nation.In 2017, we celebrated 40 years of ministry as a church. We need strong families in order to build strong communities and strong communities build a strong society. The ministry emphasis is on building strong families firmly established in and upon the word of God. We are a Bible believing Church and place much emphasis on the integrity of God’s word. Many lives have been changed by the word of God and we give God all the glory. In 2011, the ministry became part the Rhema Family Churches.Īs part of our outreach program, we have been reaching out to our local community by ministering to the students at Oosrand Secondary School on a regular basis. Ps Themis and Helen Themistocleous, graduates of Rhema Bible Training Centre, co-pastor the ministry. In 2007 Ps Derek was led to “start the ministry in Boksburg” in Gauteng’s East Rand. He and his wife Marge Bailey initially served as home fellowship leaders then area leaders, district leaders and finally as elders at Rhema Bible Church over a period of 18 years. Ps Derek attended the Rhema Bible Training Centre for two years and graduated at the end of 1991.
The ministry was started on 03 August 2008 on instruction by the Lord. “But what saith it, the word is night thee, even in thy mouth and in thine heart that is the word of faith which we preach.” Romans 10:8
